April 2, 2023 - Well, I disagree with all of the below. This is a wine that is certainly showing its age, but that is no bad thing. Wonderful assertive nose of dark fruit; great depth in the mouth and long-lasting flavour. A deep and mature wine.

    June 10, 2018 - Very Good.

Clear, medium, garnet to tawny, legs and plenty of deposit.
Clean, medium, fully developed to tired nose of black plum, pencil lead, leather, caramel and undergrowth.
Dry, medium acid, medium fully resolved tannins, medium alcohol (12.9%), medium body, medium (+) flavour intensity with caramel, pencil lead, plum and leather. Medium (+) length.

Very good, this bottle has aged gracefully, is complex and still has the bones of a good structure. This is past its best, and whilst structurally it is still all there, the fruit is at an end.

    Cork.

April 14, 2018 - Past it’s best but it still has the essence.lovely mouth feel. Gains some weight with air but quickly loses its fruit.

September 2, 2017 - Smooth with earthy fruit, mint, basil, underbrush and dried herbs. Good balance with ample acidity and structure. Dry medium finish with a sour dark fruit like finish. Way past its peak but very interesting seeing how these old entry level like wines can age. Drank along side a 2012. Not decanted, falls apart quickly. Drink now.

January 12, 2015 - Last of the batch and thankfully the best of them too. Still lovely blackcurrant fruit with cedar and smoke, graphite and earth mixed in.

April 28, 2012 - Bottle looked good with great level and cork. Solid wine and held up well for the couple of hours open, just lacking some complexity and depth. Good, but a little boring.

July 7, 2010 - Oaky and finishes short. Not a good bottle.

November 3, 2003 - NobleRottersSydney - Wynns Cabernet vertical: 86, 90-00 (Lucio's, Paddington): (12.9%) Brick red, with a little fading at the edges. Lots of cigar box and pencil shaving aromas – very much secondary characters to the fore here. There are some herby eucalypt fruit notes remaining, but this is essentially a mature experience. It’s still wonderfully alive – the fruit and tannins very soft, acid still plentiful. Its medium bodied, wonderfully drinkable, and grows almost sweet in the glass. Unlikely to improve, but great drinking now.
