August 27, 2023 - Sunday night dinner in Marietta (Sommelier Guild of Atlanta) (Marietta, GA): Was expecting more from this wine (given producer/age) but still very good.

August 9, 2023 - Two hour decant-lots of fine and quite chunky sediment so care required. This is like velvet now, tannins beautifully integrated and some notes of plum/cherry -wish I hadn’t drunk so many bottles in previous years!

February 20, 2023 - Monday hangout at Domaine (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Unmistakable note of grenachse strawberries on the nose. Relatively clean for what was an easy Châteauneuf-du-Pape guess. A bit sweet but not showing any signs of roastedness to the fruit. Overall lacks the structure that I like in wine -- feels a bit amorphous, and it was pretty shocking on the reveal as to the vintage; I guessed this was something like a late 1980s wine.

January 1, 2023 - Glass: Zaltp Bordeaux / Riedel Sommelier Bordeaux
Popped and poured. Deep garnet color, lots of fine sediment. Fine, deep and complex nose. Lots of extract sweetness. Very round, harmonious and balanced with polished tannin. Sweet Cherries, herbs, ethereal. Good length. 93

December 27, 2022 - Incenses and spices on the nose, sweet aromas, complex and silky wine, red and black powerful fruits yet elegant and long, plenty of fine tannins coating the mouth, long finish, ayoung beauty, still years of life ahead. Liked it very much.
