July 30, 2021 - Beautiful citrus nose with also an unusual floral component. Delicate light weight. Long refreshing finish with plenty of minerality. This is drinking extremely well and I would guess it still has plenty of years left.

P.S. Actually opened up further with air, with some wet stone added to the nose and apricot on the finish. After a couple more hours, slight honey and spicy tropical, especially mango starting to be revealed in the nose. Outstanding QPR wine. Wish I had purchased more back when it was under $20.

February 27, 2021 - Light golden. Developing slowly and holding through for a another decade this fruity wine shows scents and flavors of pears, papaya, honey, citrus and slate. Light, but with enough intensity of flavors to be at least very good to outstanding. Once scored by David Schildknecht (88 points) with a drinking window till 2015. LOL. The first serious note on this in the WA was the note on the 2016 from Stephan Reinhardt (90 points, -2033). Nothing in decline here. 5/12/16/8 -2030 if stored at perfect conditions since release.

July 20, 2019 - Light golden colour. This is one of the best years for this wine so far. I drink this at age 10+. Of course it is nice after release but even this entry level wine from Dönnhoff benefits in most years from cellaring. Right now this is really in a marvelous stage. The fruit shows great nuances between citrus, yellow and white fruits and this is accompanied by tertiary notes. Those who complain that it is to old, have to realize that they bought a bottle that wasn't cellared well since release or they simply don't like aged riesling. Well cellared examples are going to hold through and possibly age well for another decade. 5/12/16/8. - 2028+

March 21, 2017 - Golden color, nice acid. Still tasty for an older Riesling, although it probably should have been consumed earlier. I like older whites, so it's OK with me.

August 28, 2016 - Drank over three days. It was at its best on day 3. Golden in color, slightly deep. The nose is clean, slightly metallic with a bit of light papaya. On the palate, this is slightly sweet. Clean. no diesel. Great texture. 10%. What a great value. Ageing slowly. no hurry.

January 8, 2016 - Bought upon release at retail wine shop. 10% abv. Importer-Michael Skurnik, TT selection. Light golden color. Petrol nose is still there. Smells very young, but starting to show its age. Dry, with some RS. Balanced with medium. I don't see this wine getting any better. I think it is past its peak and I don't see it improving, but it still has some years left. Yes, I would purchase this wine again.

June 2, 2015 - Still quite young, showing a touch of development, bringing some nice herbal elements to the flavorful slightly off-dry Riesling flavors, clean and fresh, with laser acidity, and hints of granite minerality on the finish. I might have one more of these, wish I had cases of it.

Edited after I read some of the other recent notes. I must be lucky, with so many reporting this dead or over the hill, but for me it has years of life left, and a stunning value at $15.

February 20, 2015 - Mostly the sweetness showed. So much so I'd call it out of balance, Some white fruits on the nose and palate. No petrol. Probably should have been consumed two years ago. A Terry Thiese import.
