April 23, 2021 - Declining. Mushrooms, soy sauce, old leather. A slight hint of chery and orange peel. Bet it was nice 5 or so years ago.

January 18, 2020 - Still strongly dark red for such old Chianti - fragrant with cherry and cedar - soft but with acid backbone in the palate - very lovely

August 19, 2018 - Tastes young. Nice secondary flavors. Punching above it’s weight.

June 1, 2017 - Last bottle from a case. Still looks like a Cabernet. Muted nose. Plenty of tannic grip. I like this wine, but the cab is too dominant for my taste. I prefer the cherries from Sangiovese that get obliterated here by the presence of the 10% Cab in this blend. Well made and tasty, but not really Chianti.

March 3, 2017 - Still in the drinking-window but dry and dusty. Missing the fruit and the softness older vintages of Querciabellas had.
