August 2, 2012 - Wow! Big nose of chocolate and dark red fruits, especially cherry. Same on the palate, lots of dark fruits with a nice chocolate undertone, overall very sweet and smooth. Solid backbone of smooth tannins. I have enjoyed this wine immensely since I bought two cases of it back in 2005 but I would have to say it is at its peak right now with a perfect balance of fruits and tannins. Absolutely lovely!
