December 6, 2008 - Fading, but still a nice wine, especially at this price. Notes otherwise very similar to last time.
September 27, 2008 - Bright translucent red color -- quite pretty. This is a medium to light bodied pinot and it's really quite a nice value. Lots of complexity for just over $10. Bright cherry, rose petals and earth on the nose. Palate is red-fruited and silky-smooth with some mushroom-y underbrush. Good acidity. This would pair well with a lot of things -- we had it with a roast chicken and it worked well.
September 9, 2008 - not as good now that's it's been around for a while. get this one early off the boat, i guess. i was warned about this....
September 2, 2008 - interesting - this has fallen off a bit since the last time. still nice wine, but not anywhere near as compelling, lost some balance and there is more prominent earthy almost moldy sense. i heard that these wines don't live all that long once they reach the US, maybe that's right. i have on more so we'll see.
August 6, 2008 - this is such fantastic wine. i love the wild streak running underneath. the fruit is bright and fresh and there are minty herbal notes, plenty of very fine tannins provide structure, great vibrant acidity. balanced and delicious wine at 11% alcohol.

June 29, 2008 - mmmmmmmmmmm. no new notes. this should be my any night of the week wine. tonight with salted zucchini pasta - so versatile. delicious.
June 2, 2008 - i love this wine, jkust as much as the 06, although it's quite different. a much lighter wine - in color, in flavor, in texture, and in alcohol too - this is 11%. a bright red berry and potting soil combination of aroma and flavor, with that puzelat wildness that provides underlying energy. flexible too with various food.
