November 12, 2023 - Fig, prune, earthiness and some mint on the nose. Good tannin structure with a slightly acidic watery finish. All in all very good.
June 18, 2023 - My previous bottle of this was rather seriously flawed. This one really fulfilled its early potential — sumptuous red fruits bathed in caramel. Fine tannins (the coarser ones are evident in the heavy sediment) give a luxurious texture. This is the first of five consumed bottles that I have really loved, but what a bottle this one has turned out to become.
January 8, 2023 - Withholding final note on this, but seems like a flawed bottle on opening. I’m going to mark it as consumed for tracking purposes and will update if sauerkraut ceases to be the defining characteristic.
September 27, 2020 - While initially a wee bit pruny on the nose, the taste is still young and rough - seem to young. Hard to score - very concentrated, but somewhat all over the place. Wait for it - give at least a couple of years.

June 21, 2020 - This bottle is still in a rough and tumble phase of development. The last bottle made me think this was entering a drinking window; this bottle, not so much. Tannic and primary, even a rib-eye didn’t tame it. I think this one is a long-term project.
October 18, 2019 - This has really blossomed since the first bottle in 2015. Alcohol is pretty well in check. Firm fruits, clean and long. Very well done.
December 13, 2018 - Fresh fragrant. In a very good spot now.
January 3, 2018 - Not much change from the bottle I drank 6 months ago. Opened and let sit for an hour while we drank some chardonnay. Dark fruit on the nose, The palate was dark berries, plums, tobacco and mocha. Finish was moderate to long.
December 3, 2017 - Another fine bottle.
July 12, 2017 - We opened let it sit for an hour then drank through a vintorio. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate, was berry, plum, tobacco and mocha. The finish was of moderate length and smooth.
