April 5, 2021 - Quite tannic and sour straight from the bottle. Decanted for 4 hours, served with lamb. Opened up and softened. Notes of smoke, savoury. Good length but not remarkable. Better Rioja available.

November 7, 2020 - Good mature wine. Secondary and tertiary flavours are noticeable, this isn't particularly primary. There's a suggestion of almost port-like quality to it, with some tobacco, plum tending towards prune, a hint of aniseed. It's reasonably delicate, won't stand up to strongly flavoured food. Tannins are very polished.

August 18, 2020 - Red fruit with secondary flavors and adequate acidity to give it freshness. Balanced and medium to full body. Medium length. This bottle showed better than the previous bottle that I drank a while back.
