November 24, 2016 - A slight disappointment only because I have tasted great reds from this estate on countless occasions. Tasted from magnum with great fill level and cork in excellent condition.
This wine seemed tired, slightly lacking in freshness, focus and intensity. It certainly had the recognizable Bandol character, but from this producer I expect more.

May 3, 2012 - Fantastic wine especially at 24 bucks. Lighter in the body than I expected from an 05 Bandol but not lacking in interest or power.

April 3, 2012 - Great wine could have waited a few more years before opening. Plum and black cherry with leather and spice on the palate. My advice wait 2-3 years. Drink with food something fatty .

May 5, 2011 - It's almost always a shame to open a bottle from this region before it hits 10 years of age. Threw this into a decanter a couple of hours before dinner. Enter farmyard stink. Fur, leather, dark plums and licorice. Tightly knit with firm tannins. Dark fruit, genuine with local feel. Quite enjoyable but still a good 5 years away from peak.

    January 31, 2011 - Nose:
Earthy, spicy, full of dark fruit. Enjoyable.
    Palate:
Very dark tannic structure. Starts out very dark and drying on the mid palate. Decent tannic finish.
No decant and may have benefitted from one. It paired very well as it was with a spicy beef dish.
    Would buy again.

November 25, 2010 - Decanted for 3 hours prior to dinner. Dark purple color. Plenty of farmyard on the nose, boy is this rustic. Plenty of tobacco, licorice, animal fur and dark plum on the palate. Somewhat austere with marked tannins. True to origin. Needs time to soften, 3-5 years.

February 27, 2010 - Needs a little time to open up. Then it's still restrained, but full dark fruit and quite earthy. It seems like it's holding back some of it's power, and another couple years to develop may help.
