January 7, 2019 - Popped and poured. Tart black fruit aroma. Silken flavors of cherry, mint, among others. Lemon and a bit of pucker in the finish. Lively, firm backbone, mutable, well structured, great staying power. Drinking very well.

August 8, 2009 - 180 NOK.

May 9, 2009 - Great nose, iodine, dark raspberry and peat. Almost like an Islay Scotch without the smoke and alcohol of course. Still pretty crunchy in the mouth, but its getting better.

April 8, 2009 - Great nose, palate a little disjointed, should come together in 6 months or so.

April 1, 2009 - Great! This is a very exciting young wine with vibrant, almost electric fruit. It is very high in acidity and very food compatible. I had it with a loaded baked potato and it was outrageously good. I could be wrong but I don't believe there is any sense in storing these - drink them now while they are still loaded with fruit and vibrant.

(Domaine des Terres Dorées Fleurie Vieilles Vignes, Beaujolais) Good Beaujolais producers are worth seeking out, and Jean-Paul Brun of Domaine des Terres Dorées is one of the best. All his wines are made with a real feel for the place they come from, and all show the balance, freshness, and moderate alcohol that make Beaujolais such a great choice with food. This one displays perfumed, juicy fruit typical of the Fleurie cru. “Vieilles vignes” means more in Beaujolais than in most places in the world; the old vines here are truly old. Hot Picks
