August 30, 2020 - Maybe fading vs all my prior tastings? More leather, tobacco, and charcoal than I remember. Maybe bottle variation or rapid maturity?

May 23, 2020 - Really enjoyed, very smooth and easy to drink with cheese, nuts and desserts. Definitely would drink again

April 24, 2020 - Fully ready to drink, it really punches above its weight. It is as per previous notes, but I have scored this a point lower. Checking previous notes, I realise I gave this too much air and it lost some of its vibrancy. An hour at most in the decanter is sufficient. However, that said, everything about the wine works and is in harmony. Unusually for the year I think this should be drunk over the next 5 years to enjoy it at its best.

April 7, 2020 - Good solid wine.Ashen nose and taste, rich, good fruit with right amount of supporting acid but not what I'd call a smooth . lively finish. drinking well. no hurry.

April 5, 2020 - Pop and pour, consumed over 3 hours. Nose: Medium-plus intensity, leather, tobacco, rust, and forest floor with red, blue, and black fruit undertones - classic aged Bordeaux. Palate: Medium-full bodied, spicy dark fruit, earth and spice attack, solid acidic back-bone fills the mid-palate, leather and rusty earth dominate the back-end and persist through a 45-60 second finish. Wonderful aged Bordeaux, peaking now with 5+ years left - exceptional.
