December 28, 2023 - Fantastic wine despite it was a little bit too chilled. NB: I love Pessac-Leognan...

December 24, 2023 - Purchased recently as a one off. Very nice. Fully mature and ready to go after a one hour decant.

December 21, 2023 - 55F since acquiring on release - youthful red black - smoke and graphite and soy - savory AF - tannins both silky velvet and powdery fine - nice wine particularly for charred meats like this lamb

November 21, 2023 - Lovely ash, tobacco, cedar and new leather nose. Bit light in the mouth but with lovely gravel and mineral finish. Come across that it’s a touch green but the oak has morphed into a lovely nose. A clear notch down from the 2000 rendition and couple of notches from the excellent 1998. Really enjoyable though. Drink now, it didn’t need air and there isn’t much depth of fruit. 93pts

November 20, 2023 - 13% Alc., natural cork, 5% soaked, still strong dark purpur red color with no ageing reflexes.

Nose: Smell of beautiful matured Bdx.

Palate: Very good freshness, good balance, ripe heart cherry to sour cherry, melty black chocolate, wine doesn't show tiredness, pleasant tones of ripeness and secondary aromas. Bottle was quite fast emptied.

Give it 1h in the decanter! That's what you desire when you drink well stored matured Bdx. Unfortunately my last bottle.
