October 19, 2019 - Deep ruby red with a hint of burnt orange at the rim. Lots of slow legs draped around the glass. Nose is classic, mature OL with dark mulberry, plum, boysenberry, grape stalk and spicy oak. Dry with lots of tight gritty tannins still unresolved. Dark dry berry fruits on the palate. More dusty mulberry and blue plum. Overall smooth, good length and good acidity, but the aggressive tannins really stand out and detract from the enjoyment at this point.

August 31, 2019 - Quite dark plummy garnet with a slight fade and coloured change to more of a mahogany at the rim. Clearly showing its age. Lots of chunky sediment in the bottle, but very little smoke. Dust dried mulberries dominates the nose. Then comes iodine, spice, leather and pine mulch. Medium full bodied. The red fruit on the palate is nicely ripe and comes across as lush and sweet albeit it still retains a bit of tartness. Sandy tannins on the juicy dry finish. Moderately long finish that is dried red berries and spicy wood. Outperforms expectations on this showing.

May 16, 2019 - Actually really nice. Not over the hill and very pleasurable.

May 1, 2019 - Uncle Bill easter wine, end of drinkable age, would only buy later years

March 16, 2019 - Wine rich and flavourful. Very well good tannins. Extremely smooth. Forecast is good in several years with appropriate ageing.
