Community Tasting Notes 2

February 10, 2013 - Nice a Amarone! Brick to garnet in color but a very lively spicy nose and a rich complex pallet. One of the better new style a atones I have tasted.

August 24, 2012 - Aerated to decanter at 2pm, served at 730 pm. Notwithstanding the aeration in the decanter, this still had a fair amount of development during the first and subsequent glasses. Very bright, very fresh. An unexpected surprise. Very good to excellent purity of fruit, with good to very good complexity. My only nit regards the depth of the wine, which, I understand some might actually find more a plus than a minus. Our host's bottle that he said he paid $46 for, and at that price, I think he got his money's worth. Very good to excellent with braised short ribs and cheesy polenta. Drink thru 2020.
