January 14, 2019 - Still drinking well. The cork was a bit crumbly, but seems to have done its job. Dark plums, some faded violets, a bit of sous bois and some caramelized honey notes. Very smooth, even after a few hours in the glass. It is definitely on its downward slide, but still drinking well, and paired nicely with a Flannery steak.

December 5, 2016 - Great example of how a WA wine can age. Thanks for sharing Carter.

24 years on.. slightly past prime, with fruits fading, but enough there to make it mellow, balanced, and an easy drink.
Can probably hold on for a couple of more years, but i would drink up, and gladly so.

December 3, 2016 - Decidedly new world profile. It's starting to fade, but definitely still has several years before it collapses. Still going strong on day 2. Clean and elegant. This was a great wine!
Last 1/4 of the cork also fell in the bottle for me.

August 24, 2015 - Cork almost made it out before lower 1/4 inch broke off.
Nose was nice with lots of secondary tobacco and leather notes to go with the mature fruit.
Palate was nicely mature and interesting. For me, this was at peak and completely enjoyable. The finish was lengthy and very nice.
    Would buy again.

January 8, 2015 - Spouse had this in a decanter when I got home from a long commute. No bricking; deep color. Nose was expressive as with dark fruits, leather and tobacco. Taste followed nose with everything present and in check before the fruit dropped off after 2.5 hours.

Quite a treat for the $21 I paid last year.
