June 1, 2013 - Drinking really well right now, cherry notes dominate with an almost sweet tart flavor. I didn't note the harsh finish that other tasters noticed. The finish was fairly short but was smooth. Impressive wine for Arizona.

January 14, 2011 - aromas of spice and raspberry with a hint of candied apple. Bright red fruit on the mouth, strawberries and cherries. Hot finish, a little harsh.

June 14, 2009 - Deep ruby color. Black fruit nose. Tastes of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry. Earthy finish with a little heat. Seems to have settled down compared to the last few times I've tried it.

September 13, 2008 - Last Tasting of Summer (Fine's Cellar, Scottsdale): Blackberry and earth. Alcoholic over the top mess.

  • kstoddard wrote:

August 28, 2008 - Blackberry and earth with lots of charred oak. Green with a terribly bitter finish. 45% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Pfeffer and 3% Petite Sirah. 14.5% alcohol.
