October 1, 2023 - Agree with the other reviews, this is a great champagne, especially for ~$50... Stands up well against other champs in the same range.

October 21, 2020 - 70% from 2008. Lots of golden toast on the nose. Wonderful powerful palate. Loads

September 5, 2020 - lovely start to the evening. Toasty brioche, some fruity notes in the background. The palate has a lively mousse, with a rich depth, a little fruit and a refreshing crispness. A wonderful wine for a #winesaturday and at £36 for #grandcru bargain and certainly worth seeking out to #giveanewwineago available @akeandhumphris 91 points

September 24, 2019 - 100% Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims. The blend includes 30% of reserve wines from a perpetual reserve including vintages back to 1968. Aged for 3 years on the lees before disgorgement. 12,5% alcohol. Tasted blind.

Pale lemon yellow color. Classic, toasty Champagne nose of nutty autolysis, some bruised apple tones, a little bit of yeasty French bread and brioche, light almond tones, a hint of smoke and a touch of ripe citrus fruits. The wine is ripe, moderately full-bodied and quite broad-shouldered on the palate with flavors of peach, yeast, some aked apple, a little bit of brioche, light cookie dough tones, a hint of nuttiness and a touch of chalky mineral bitterness. The high acidity lends good intensity and sense of freshness to the wine. Nice, creamy mousse. The finish is long, ripe and quite weighty with bold, acid-driven flavors of golden apples, some slivered almonds, a little bit of tart lemony citrus fruits, light chalky bitter tones, a hint of autolytic brioche and a touch of bruised Granny Smith apple.

A big and tasty Blanc de Noirs with lovely nutty character and good sense of complexity. Not a light or delicate Champagne by any accounts, but shows still enjoyable balance and structure. Most likely will keep years more in a cellar, but is drinking nicely already. Exceptional value at only 17€.

December 31, 2017 - Generally I find myself a fan of blanc de noirs. I like the apple nature and a bit softer level on the toast. This was in that vein, but again kindof a fine champagne. Not one that stood out particularly, but also a fairly reasonable price tag.
