August 30, 2015 - A blend of Groseilles, Baudes, Noirots and Gruenchers. There is silk and style, but this is not particularly refined or expressive. It has good fruit and sous-bois, lovely Tahiti-vanilla lift, light to medium weight, hints of earth and minerals, rosehip; good length. Nice but not spectacular. Neither green nor under-ripe, but not really up to par.

September 30, 2014 - This bottle was pretty much dead.
No body to it at all.

May 16, 2013 - This was alright OK on the first night, but certainly quite lean. It's fleshed out and shows impressive richness on day 2, but has the '04 mirepoix in spades.

February 28, 2013 - A delightful surprise. Fully mature, nicely balanced, elegant and NOT vegetal.

February 15, 2013 - Slight cloudy cranberry, orange rose rim color. Beautiful potpourri spice, dusty cherry pixy, currant, dried cherry, wet leaves, slightest of menthol. So far so good! In the mouth...fresh berry fruit, with a good dose of grapefruit tang to it, which really livens. The fruit is rustic, kind of crunchy with skins, but pretty pure. Has the wonderful florals and perfumes that I love in Bertheau! Dried roses, tilled raspberry patch, sous bois. For the such maligned vintage, I really don't taste any offputting greenness here? Maybe a little green tobacco leaf...which I really DIG!?? Maybe some dried leaves? No ladybug soup here. I'd drink this wine all day long!
