July 5, 2023 - Low fill, deep yellow/brownish color. Overtly maderized. There is still some recognizable petrol and stone fruit underneath, but these lasted for only a few minutes before the bottle definitively declared itself as dead and gone.

November 1, 2022 - Clear in color and beautifully integrated. Good acidity and clean finish.

December 4, 2021 - Sixteenth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Inovasi - Lake Bluff IL): In 85/86/01 vertical. Fresh and baked apple, some tropical hints, earth hints and very bright structure. Perfectly composed and harmonious. My favorite of the vertical, this i sonly the 2nd time I can recall having the wine, and tonight's was much fresher/ better than the previous bottle, which had a poor cork in 2015.

December 2, 2016 - Twelfth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Chez Weber - Chicago IL): In 85/86/98 vertical. Some tropical and stone fruit with very good concentration. Large scaled and dense. Very good now. Some initial concern due to a soft cork, and perhaps this might have been even tastier with a better cork.

(Trimbach Riesling Clos St. Hune) Why does this wine leave me in awe every time I drink it? Just stunning. Sick nose of petrol, honey and minerals. Palate had huge sap and intensity along with great Riesling richness. Just stained your palate and stuck with you. Like 8-dimensional in the mouth but oh . . . so elegant. Genius wine and the best Riesling in the world. The finish lasted forever.
