February 14, 2009 - Very pale yellow colour. Attractive big minerally nose of unripe banana, fresh lychee and peach with some toast in the background. Nice full and rounded but not over-rich palate of minerals, peaches, butter and hazelnuts with muted oak and a lot of fresh acidity and a nice buttery finish. Some length. Very enjoyable but the acid is not quite properly integrated. Needs food and would balance well with something like creamy fettucini carbonara.
