July 13, 2023 - Much better and more finely balanced than when last tasted in 2012, but still plenty of room to improve. Try again in 2030?

July 2, 2021 - This was very nice out of the bottle, first class Ruwer Kabinett, well aged, but, I would say, beginning to grow a bit fragile and not holding up well to extended air exposure. Drink up, is my advice.

April 26, 2020 - Beautiful, complex orange blossom nose. Medium-full body with some sweetness, candied orange slice flavors, good acid/sugar balance, although on the sweeter side of Kabinett. Cellared since original release.

September 9, 2019 - Nice Kabinett, drinking well. Pretty fall straw color. Good for cheeses, fish, light foods - or alone as aperitif.

November 15, 2018 - Textbook illustration of why you should always have some aged Kabinett from a good source squirreled away. Residual sugar is largely resolved and the remaining sweetness nicely complements the sizzling thread of pure, understated Ruwer acidity, without the excessive exuberance of a spätlese or the excessive refinement of an Auslese. Lovely and versatile as either an aperitif or with food, zugleich. Prost!
