October 20, 2006 - nothing special, but not bad
February 3, 2004 - especially good with smoked gooda cheese
November 30, 2003 - has similarity to zinfandel (not a plus to me)
November 17, 2003 - nothing exciting... little agebility.
May 13, 2003 - does well even when chilled
April 19, 2003 - Bright disc. Medium/deep ruby with red rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense "vinous" characteristics, with some blackberry, blueberry, dust and underbrush. Medium-bodied on the palate, with relatively high acidity and medium, supple tannins. The mid-palate hollows out and the finish is short. This is a simple, inexpensive, "easy to understand" wine which is pleasant for everyday drinking.
April 14, 2003 - nice pepper - good with lasagna - will age for 1+ year
February 26, 2003 - good value ($9.95 at Costco), not a lot of depth, but a good wine
