September 30, 2012 - At opening the Zin fruit was hidden by a light funk. It seemed to clear with some air but the fruit from beginning to end was always understated, basic and not clearly varietal. It was elegant in the mouth, light/medium, even, ready, and finished a bit flat. This should have been good considering the producer and vineyard but didn't live up to expectations. Overall, probably better a few years ago, average, some noticeable heat, drink now.

April 17, 2011 - Drank my only bottle last night and will definitely seek out more. I am shocked by the reviews on this page. Deep red and dark fruits with hints of smoke. Luscious and delicious without being overbearing. Best Zin from this producer I've ever tasted. Maybe the right bottle at the right time, but man this was good.
