January 28, 2021 - Still has nice fruit (blackberries and currents) and backbone.

September 1, 2020 - Presented itself as acidic , astringent. After opened however the presenting woodsy simple nose evolved after 15 minutes, into a nose magnificent of black current, mulberry,. Never became sweet. and remained dry. Complexity to me attained the 90's score.

July 31, 2020 - 15.7% abv. Medium-dark ruby, extremely expressive aromas. Cherry, cran-apple, blue fruit, cinnamon, a little tobacco and sage. Great depth, length and mouthfeel. The high alcohol remains in the background. Very fine intensity and focus. In a good place - the primary flavors here are transitioning to secondary very gracefully. I've enjoyed older Haynes, but this is in a great place for drinking right now and over the next several years.

August 10, 2019 - We liked the previous bottle so much, that we couldn't stay away very long. This is our last bottle of this wonderful wine.
Gave this bottle the 5 minute slo-ox that I recommended in May and the wine opened nicely. A medium to plus bodied wine with lots of red fruits, black pepper, some spice, and a touch of tannins, with nicely balancing acidity. Only a slight fading of the fruit as we were finishing our meal. Definitely recommend drinking up!

May 18, 2019 - As I'm drinking this wonderful 13 year old Turley wine I had to keep reminding myself that it's their Zin, not Petite Sirah.
PnP, but the wine opened with air exposure. Lots of red fruits, black pepper, and a touch of tannins, with nicely balancing acidity. Only downside is that at some point later in the meal, the fruit began to fade somewhat. So, give it maybe a 5 minute slo-ox, then drink up, before Father Time finds your bottle.
