October 28, 2021 - Popped and poured. Dusty, muted nose with a faint hint of red fruit. Initially very hot but gained some floral aromas with a little time in the glass. On the palate this is pretty dead, not a lot of fruit but a lot of sweaty socks. Feels way more tannic than fruity which is not good for a wine of this age. Maybe better with a decant, but overall not good.

February 11, 2019 - Showed surprisingly well at 13 years--still plenty of plum and blackberry, smoke and earth.

December 27, 2017 - Needs some time on opening.....maybe an hour or so. Smells like a cab in a zin bottle. Very dark fruit on the nose but a dark garnet color in the glass with a lighter garnet rim. Lots of acidity remaining. A hint of raisins to go with the plums and the pepper. Fruit is fading on the palate so even though there is plenty acid backbone for years to go, you'd better drink this one soon.

August 22, 2016 - A bit past its peak so it was a little lacking on the fruit notes but smooth.
