April 10, 2019 - 2006 was the first pluribus I tried. I first tried it at the Bond tasting room way back when and I thought it had huge potential. I thought it had more interesting undercurrents than a lot of the other Bond wines. Since then I think the pluribus has established itself as one of the two best bond wines.

I gave this a two and a half hour decant and served it at cellar temp.

This 2006 is well oaked but suave with deep fruit and some menthol and earth and tar flavors. Very enjoyable. It is clearly napa in origin but it has always seemed like amplified St. Julien in elements of the flavor profile (with the exception of the menthol or mint I suppose).

Long finish, nice structure. This wine is a winner from what many consider a poor vintage. Not the best pluribus but very good. This has plenty of stuffing to last until the early 2030s but may be enjoyed now with a proper decanting.

February 3, 2019 - The 2006 Pluribus is a pleasant surprise from this largely overlooked vintage. All things considered, the 2006 has retained striking freshness and energy. There is plenty of raciness to the blue/purplish fruit, along with the heavy oak signature that was the norm at the time. Even so, the 2006 has aged beautifully.

February 2, 2019 - Less impressive then other Bond wines I tasted, but what a joy! Lacking high degree of complexity (due too my Cold?) a gorgeous wine, lots of ruit and some earthiness even.

January 5, 2019 - The (annual) tasting at Loek's anniversary (His tasting room): Tasting note 5,003: A bit ferocious, deep coloured, a modest sweetness in the midtaste, very concentrated and not in the (sometimes)) too voluptuous Californian style, recognizable, but ripe tannins. For me this '06 is more balanced than the '03.

December 24, 2018 - Enjoyed over Christmas Eve dinner at local restaurant. Decanted but was drinking nicely from first pour. Tannins are soft and supple and flavors of leather & dark fruit.
