November 3, 2019 - Good, dependable Aussie "sticky". Light Ruby color, rather than an actual "tawney" hue. Stewed plumb, raisin, toffee, chocolate, and spice on the nose and palate. A warming 18% alcohol lingers in the throat. Great QPR. Not the house favorite, but the house Port for guests who are not Port aficionados.

November 20, 2016 - What is interesting is that I haven't seen a liquor store carry R.L. Buller&Son and I did see it at a tiny store in east Denver. I bought 2 of the three they had knowing the producer makes excellent tawny for the cost. It's a great tawny. This one is full of butterscotch sweetness and nice balance. Lip licking delicious. Any sweet dish made with butter would be a nice pairing.

November 30, 2012 - more grapey than I usually expect from a tawny, this was fine for the price. I would prefer a little more acid and a little more complexity, as the only nuance I get besides straightforward cooked fruit is perhaps a bit of plum dust and walnut skin.
Good bottle to have around for the holidays, since not everyone we entertain is as much of a wine snob as I am.

August 15, 2011 - Still haven't found a better port QPR. We've polished off at least a dozen of these since finding them several years ago. Sure, nothing ground-shattering here... but for simple pleasures of the dessert vino, this value cannot be beat. It holds up for weeks if not months in the fridge, too.
