    June 10, 2020 - The weight of this wine is evidenced by the way, upon entering the mouth, it forces itself to the front of the mouth. it leaves the back of the mouth unaffected. it's all about tannin I guess. There is no "coating" going on however. Some length but this is dominated by the alcohol on the tongue. Should have drunk this a few years ago; drying out now. Pleasant but lean and angular.

    November 9, 2019 - Too dense for me. Lacks elegance. Fruit disappears on finish. Not my style. Should have drunk it when younger?

    December 14, 2014 - Plummy fruit, with a subtle hint of exotic spice and sage on the nose. Medium bodied with soft and somewhat delicate saline blackcurrant fruit backed with mushroom and a distinct gravelly minerality that lingers on a surprisingly long finish. A perfect accompaniment to roast lamb shoulder.

    April 22, 2014 - Very deep, ripe rich red, still bright and youthful. Expressive nose of blackcurrants and blackberries. Full bodied. Rich, ripe fruit to the fore and continuing to dominae through to a very respectable length of finish. Deserves a score or 90+ but it is not my style - too heavyweight. See how it ages.

    February 26, 2012 - Dense ruby red. The aromas are quite restrained with some black fruits and peppery spice notes. More savoury than the 08, lacking a little of the plump fruit but still very enjoyable. Fresh and clean with good minerality, notes of charcoal and tobacco with fine cleansing tannins. Enjoyable.
