• EMark Does not like this wine:

September 10, 2014 - There is a pleasant blackberry hint on introduction to the palate, but nothing obnoxious. Then, I, sadly, detect over the top on the alcohol. Then there is a serious hit of tannin—with which I am very OK. After about 40 minutes of air, components seem a bit more integrated, but I still don’t think it’s enough. Now, it’s tasting more jammy.

March 2, 2013 - Earthy at first then opened up and got a little fruit. Not very "zin-like" in profile. Have had this before and this was disappointing

January 19, 2013 - for a wine with a long fancy name - pretty mediocre. Wish I had only bought 2 bottles (I would be done). not really my style of taste - fruity tutti.

October 23, 2012 - Lots of fruit but not overwhelming. Unlike GBM I still have 4 of these. I too enjoyed it and look forward to the next few. I guess I will need to invite GBM over.

September 28, 2012 - Last bottle of this wine. I had not been a fan of it until now, unfortunately. Wish I had one more bottle. Black fruits, spices, cocoa - all a bit muted and very nicely integrated. Apparently I like older zins. This is terrific. (5+12+18+7)

May 31, 2012 - Needs 30-60 minutes of air to smooth out then very gorgeous, dark berry and cherry fruit, some spice, very full bodied. Sipped this without food but definitely a great BBQ zin!
