November 8, 2018 - Nose of blackberry, smoke, oak, pepper and pine needles. Needed an hour or two in the decanter for tannins & fruit to mellow and secondary & tertiary flavors to come out. Full, almost creamy texture once the tannins integrate. Big but enjoyable

July 17, 2016 - The wine has definitely improved since I last opened a bottle years ago. We opened let it sit for an hour and then poured through a vintorio. Dark fruit on the nose, the palate was dark berries, dark plums, tobacco, raisins and a hint of wood. Tannins fully integrated and the finish was long and smooth.
