March 17, 2023 - Notes of dates, figs, dark fruits, toffee. Earthy, wet-soil and a bit musty. But opens up after a few swirls and as the drink progresses. Somewhat sweet and with an almost syrupy texture. It's past it's best drink dates, but it's still got plenty of layers going for it. Very enjoyable, but don't wait too long.
Had two bottles, one had the cork saturated two-thirds, the other about half - Also the fill levels were less than ideal suggesting subpar storage conditions. One, I decanted for about an hour, the other not as much. I'd recommend this be decanted for an hour at least.1 person found this helpful Comment -

May 19, 2020 - Full rich fruit, figs, chocolate, licorice, pine needles but also warm red asphalt, exotic cheese flauvors, a bottle thing?

August 9, 2017 - Surprise. Probably not the best storage conditions over the last couple years of its life (standing upright on the floor in a conference room for at least 3 years, but probably cellared prior.). Pretty banging aromas at the cork pull, cherry, mineral, sandalwood, little potpourri. Palate is a bit more angular at first. Foodie some would say. A little underbrush aroma. Mature, but no where near where I thought this would be. Lots of iron to the nose.
Day 3 and holding on very well. Actually much benefit is shown. Deep dark cherry aromas. Harmonious mature fruit, mineral, underbrush. Very surprising. Sweet pollen notes. Goes rather well with the St Andre Triple Cream cheese. At least not clashing.1 person found this helpful Comment -

April 25, 2017 - Pleasing well-aged merlot. Very soft and well-integrated. Probably past its peak, but very much in my taste.
