April 29, 2017 - Ok sans plus, tres confituré, nez discret
April 6, 2017 - A bit past prime. Not as balanced as previous bottles.
October 13, 2016 - Full bodied,deep dark berries,cassis, leather,hints of chocolate
May 5, 2016 - After holding this for a number of years, I decided to have it with a grilled Porterhouse. It was perfect.
A wonderful nose of black fruit and spice, it was just a touch tight upon opening. After 30 minutes, it was delicious. After an hour - as smooth as glass. Definitely ready to drink.
April 22, 2016 - Past its prime
September 5, 2015 - Still fresh and fruit forward. More earth after an hour. Really nice for a Napa cab.
December 14, 2013 - nice napa cab for the money
September 30, 2012 - On a bad run with corked bottles!
May 22, 2012 - Left to breathe in the bottle for an hour or so. This is really drinking nicely right now. Consistent with previous notes. The fruit profile may be leaning a little more towards black cherry with nice black raspberry notes. Secondary notes of chocolate, tobacco and a little spice. Moderate tannins on the 20 second finish. Very nice balance and structure to this wine. Excellent QPR.
December 30, 2011 - This was an amazing QPR, especially in consideration of the Oakville 'big brother' Phelps we had alongside, I would say the latter was probably a bit better in structure, but at double the price point? I don't think so - This was dark, full bodied with a nose of sweet black fruit, plum, mocha, cedar and vanilla, nicely structure, tannic, yet softened with each sip, nicely integrated already, sweet, velvety smooth on the palate with excellent length, awesome! (91 Points).
