Community Tasting Notes 25

January 20, 2024 - I thought this was spectacular. Aromatics jumping out of the glass. tons of dark fruit and smooth tannins. showing no signs of fading but also not much in the way of secondary flavors for a older wine. great QPR from a grand cru WA site

July 14, 2020 - Slightly shy nose of blackberry, black raspberry, plum, graphite, iodine/lily, earth, and herbs. Plush, meaty palate, with red cherry, tart cherry, blackberry, earth, plum, and herbs. Nice acidity, still slightly grippy and chewy tannins, long finish. Delicious. Really nice. This doesn't knock you over the head with boldness, but has a lot going on. This bottle is not showing any tertiary notes. I think there's still a pretty long life ahead.

August 11, 2018 - The community drinking window on this is accurate. This seems to have peaked and is starting to slowly fade. Aromatics and flavors are showing blackberry liqueur, slightly stewed black plum, and very ripe black cherry with powdered cocoa, cigar box, day old coffee, and dried herb. Structurally there is still both tannin and acid, but the fruit and flavor profile seems a bit tired. Good with grilled steak, but I would drink very soon!.

February 8, 2016 - Wonderful stuff. Perfect black raspberry juice with just enough fruit and tannins to balance it all out. Mostly Cab with Merlot and Cab Franc blend. Absolutely love this and so representative of the best of Washington red wines.

September 29, 2015 - Took this to my local bistro, and ended up sharing with some "wine curious"people at the bar with me. They were blown away. Never had they had something like this....aged, good fruit, well made. Still holding on, but I'd drink up soon.
