March 31, 2024 - Wow! Sometimes poor organization pays off. This is older than I would have allowed. Great aromas still exist. Dark fruits. There was a lot of sediment when filtering and decanting. Tannins are smooth. Still great blueberry and dark cherry on the palate. Nice medium finish. I hope some of my other misplaced bottles did as well.
October 1, 2017 - Huge wine. Vibrant dark fruit, cherries, plums. Lot's of life left. Delicious. Went great with a fatty BBQ Wagyu steak. :)
March 31, 2016 - Would pay up to $35 for this bottle, it is very good!
April 26, 2015 - Amazing Petite Sirah & sadly last bottle! Not only the winemaker & year, but has to also be the "Pickett Road" Vineyard, since we had Zinfandel from all the above & it too was exceptional. Still lots of dark fruit forward & elegant finish. Could have cellared for another year or two...
November 22, 2014 - Blackberry and dark fruit on the nose and palate. Nice but straightforward.
November 22, 2014 - 4th Saturday group, tasted blind. Leather, saddle, game and bubble gum. Very nice.
November 5, 2014 - Full-bodied, thick and rich. Fruit is starting to fade. Drink soon. PnP preferred.
May 19, 2014 - Dark, rich and viscous, with velvety textures.
March 14, 2013 - This is just not my style anymore. It is BIG. DARK. CHEWY. Nose is amped up raspberry gasoline poured over a pile of dark loam. Tannins are more present than I care for, pucker up. There are some herbs buried under that heavy soil-y fruit as well.
March 13, 2013 - Rich, dark and deep. Entry is a mouthful of crushed purple and blue berry flavors. Violet notes harmonize well with spice, vanilla and soft smoke on the mid-palate. The wine has really nice balance.
