November 6, 2022 - Gentle nose, leather, meat, licqorice, graphite, deep black fruit.
Lovely balance on the palate: rich but fresh, tannin and acidity in harmony. Medium-to-light bodied.
    In a really nice spot.

November 13, 2021 - Absolutely drinking at its apogee. A one hour decant and everything is integrated: lovely black fruit, soft tannins and some real depth. You can't find a better bottle of Mourvedre any where. If you have a bottle, I'd drink it as I don't know how it could become better.

December 26, 2020 - Popped and poured. Started off with a strange bitterness that seemed to dissipate after about 30 minutes. It was then fairly enjoyable for about 30 minutes. Complex and well balanced, but then the fruit receded and it became very disjointed. I don't believe this was a sound bottle.

August 8, 2020 - Brooklynguy's note mirrors my experience, but I'm probably more positive than he seems to be. All I mean by that is I'm clearly drinking quality Mourvedre, but it comes across as anonymous especially for a Tempier.

January 22, 2019 - Skeptical. Decanted a few hours in advance. Smells good - dark fruit aromas. But the wine never shows anything in the way of complexity and there is no discernible soil signature. Even hours in, I’m not getting even the feral animale Mourvèdre nuances that should be here. Pleasant wine, good with steak. The 2000 Tourtine served alongside showed much more nuance and sense of place. This wine was disappointing, if you’re looking for detailed Bandol character.
