January 20, 2022 - Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.
A bit from memory, but a very nice bottle of Riesling. Very well done in terns of what one would expect from a spatlese.
Excellent balance of sweet and acid.
I may not be the most objective critic when it comes to Riesling -- I tend to like them.
April 1, 2019 - Very enjoyable. Apple, buttery notes. Off dry. Sunny and bright.
September 27, 2017 - Wow - this was really good. No formal note but the richness really stood out - almost creamy and dense. Surprising for a somewhat humble wine. Great nose and disappeared fast...
January 25, 2014 - Tasted of apples and pears; Remarkably creamy; Beautiful golden color, looked like melted butter
September 2, 2013 - Great qpr. Nice refreshing acidity with tinge of sweetness.
July 1, 2013 - Apples, honey with a bit of peril. Great fruit acid balance with nice finish. Great with German bratwurst.
July 29, 2011 - - Yellow color. It's balanced and has flavours of apricot and peach with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a long finish - Excellent.
April 20, 2011 - Two words, "liquid gold". Man I love german rieslings! Petrol, must, honey, lemon on the nose. Sweet goodness on the palate. Was an awesome paiting w/lobster bisk. One of my favorite wines of the year for price + pleasure!
November 5, 2010 - Consistent with previous note. Superb with Vietnamese fare.
March 18, 2010 - Maybe it's just my mood but this wine seems to have retreated to a rather monotone appley place and isn't showing the layers of flavor and minerality it did just five months ago. Wait.
