Nose showed muted dark fruit, alcohol, varnish. Palate was thin, very little fruit and searing heat on the finish.
Perhaps this wine is teetering on the edge in general? This bottle was the last of a case and stored identically next to others in a cool dark place. Oh well. My experience has been stellar drinking these from 3-7 years of age. -
