Bu en même temps que le 2003 et Tignanello 2006.
Les 3 vins étaient similaire dans leurs profiles, bien fruité
et délicieux. Long et tout en équilibre.
3 excellents vins!
January 12, 2024 - Vraiment super beau ce 2006 encore une fois.
Tout un RQP du temps, il en sans
cesse augmenté depuis les dernières années.
De belle saveurs de cerises et d'anis avec un
peu de romarin et de poivre.
Les tannins sont bien enrobés et
l'acidité est bien dosé.
Finale longue et bien persistante.
SUPERBE!
January 11, 2024 - A nose of cherry and some spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Super Tuscan, with blackberry, black cherry, smoke and spice on smooth finish. In a perfect drinking zone, decant due to sediment. From signed Michael Mondavi bottle. www.winelx.com
August 10, 2023 - Very nice and ready to drink now. Ripe fruits of black cherry, black currant, black berry, dark chocolate, some leather and a hint of tobacco. Smooth and integrated tannins.
January 10, 2023 - Upon first taste, it was dry and lifeless. After about an hour in the decanter, it evolved wonderfully with a seamless texture, fully integrated tannins and dark red fruits. Stunning with a rich beef stew.
December 26, 2022 - Strange experience. Very vegetal & off putting upon opening. Almost flawed. Let glass sit in glass for 60 minutes & it was a different wine. Left remaining bottle vacuvined. Next day. Still vegetal. Fruit was very primary but green notes were off putting. Confusing experience

December 22, 2021 - En effet, à 58$ -15% en Avril 2009, c'était un excellent RQP.
April 23, 2021 - I guess it depends if you like mature wines as to whether this is a hit or a miss for you! I quite like this 2006 - I have been fortunate to have drunk a 12 bottle case over the last 10 years plus. This is definitely mature and is showing deep rich dark and bitter fruits. Nose has decay and menthol to the fore. Tannin has pretty much fully evolved. Not drunk with food as yet but guessing rich cheeses would be a good bet. You definitely miss any bright fruits due to age but I also don’t think it’s past it! However I think that 2008 and 2009 are drinking better!
January 25, 2021 - En attendant les 2016 qui dorment, encore une fois,
excellent vin. Raffiné et complexe.
Le nez est sur la fumée, les fruits rouges, la terre et
les épices.
En bouche, cerises et cassis avec du poivre blanc, un
peu d'anis et une pointe de mentholée.
Les tannins sont bien enrobés et la finale
hyper longue se termine sur des relents de
bois fins.
Encore bien en forme et c'était tout un RQP, on avait acheté la caisse
de 12 à -15%, sous les 50$...un peu moins
en ce moment à proche 75$, malheuresuement.
