  November 12, 2017 - Chicago Wine Flock...Jim is Playin' Those Wine Games ("Chateau La Grange" - La Grange IL): Double blind in Cabernet flight. Deep and tannic, I found this slightly too rugged and a bit of beast, despite good black fruit. Group seemed to enjoy this more.

  July 4, 2014 - Garnet colour. Mature and expressive nose of dried berry, leather, and scorched earth. Elegant and delightfully well-balanced. Still fresh with structured, polished tannins. Long complex finish.

  April 14, 2008 - good color still, ruby with slight oranging at rim. some leather, tomato, spice on nose. medium body, with decent structure, slight hint of primary fruit remaining. mostly tomacco(simpsons? anyone?) on palate, with red cherry vanilla on finish. finish cut off, probably from age. impressed for an average to below average vintage, older wine.
