March 18, 2024 - Light and bright gold. Elegance, finesse. Not rich and wildly sweet. Great acidity. Light apricot, light honey. Even light botrytis. Good length. A fine way to finish off a great evening.

December 3, 2023 - Sauternes Chinese Banquet Dinner: Golden color. Richer and riper than the 1988 Climens but still not one of the larger scale wines tonight. Fruit veers toward more typical apricot. Deep and long but with a touch of finishing cyanic bitterness. Excellent nonetheless.

December 3, 2023 - All Sauternes, All Night (R & G Lounge, SF): Lovely steely nose. Lighter on the palate, sort of dances across the tongue, with grapefruit and burnt sugar. A bit more advanced and a shorter finish than the '88 Climens.

December 3, 2023 - All-sauternes dinner; 12/2/2023-12/3/2023 (R&G Lounge, San Francisco): Light color; aromatic, minerals, elegant, light; balanced, elegant, not the longest length but nice. 91

April 23, 2023 - This vintage reveals a medium amber-honey hue and an initially subdued nose that blossoms after 30 minutes, showcasing apricot, marmalade oranges, and a touch of ginger. The palate is generous, offering smooth aged fruit flavors like marmalade, pineapple, and apricot. Though fewer tertiary notes are present than anticipated, the wine still boasts an excellent, long finish. Retaining its freshness, this beautifully evolving Sauternes is a delight to savor and enjoy.
