May 16, 2022 - Low expectations -- I had a 2006 Talley Rosemary's earlier this week that was more about the sentiment than about any visceral thrills -- but this was a nigh-revelation tonight. Absolutely full of life, with gorgeous aromatics and no signs of showy wood at this point. Would never have guessed this could/would go the distance like this.

December 6, 2014 - Silky sweet. Inviting nose of black cherry reinforced on the palate, with amaretto and vanilla notes. Good concentration and finish. After 3 hours of decant, just a touch of earthy funk materialized, a little French. Drink up.

May 4, 2014 - brought to blue point grill in princeton. shared with pat, marty and sandra. bought this at auction after tasting current vintage at pinot days held in city winery, nyc. this wine was true to form. slight browning at the rim suggests that we caught this just in time. still, no oxidation or unpleasant flavors. perfume nose. some sea breaze. some earthiness. builds in the glass. will drink the rest this year.

December 25, 2013 - Fruity. Less intense than a Syrah. Enjoyable.

October 21, 2012 - Ruby in color. Nose of candied cherry, camphor. Cherry ,dusty red fruits on the palate. Medium finish. pretty simple and straightforward, no upside to this. Drink now.
