April 29, 2019 - Fresh looking and fresh tasting. Gobs of fruit. A little hot, although not all that high in alcohol. Medium viscosity. Very soft texture. For my taste, it could use a pinch more acidity. I was fully expecting a dead bottle, so the sheer drinkability of this one was a pleasant surprise.

February 12, 2011 - This bottle seemed even fresher than the one I had over a year ago. The nose is as complex as ever, with a bit more raspberry. Great depth, without even approaching going over the top.

October 16, 2010 - The first whiff from the glass gave me worry. More than a bit sweet on the nose.
The surprise was that the impression didn't carry over to the palate. Forward fruit of cherries and red berries, with refreshing acidity.
Spoofed? The Cinsault adding the lift? Could be either or both.
The Mataro/Mourvèdre/Monastrell added some gamy, earthy notes that raised this a step above a simple quaffer.
Nothing profound here, but it turned out to be a great pair for grilled buffalo burgers.
Drink up. Not one to age.

October 9, 2010 - A beautiful, refreshing red. While it had a wee bit of fizziness in the background early, that faded away over the course of a couple hours. The blackberry tones were scrumptious. A wonderful complement to an early fall evening.

August 7, 2009 - Excellent wine. Not over the top, but very complex, particularly the nose, which had more going on than I could nail down, but included; forest floor-type berries, chalkiness, a little meat and smoke(?). Reminded me of some pinot noir I've had for some reason. Great flavors with juicy, but not jammy, fruit that provides a lift. Great to see something at this price point this elegant coming from Australia!

March 24, 2009 - Really great wine. A bit fizzy at first but if you let it blow off you'll be rewarded with a well balanced great on the nose aussie.
