April 26, 2014 - I couldn't wait to open this and my expectations were realized.

On the nose, this wine oozes citrus fruits such as grapefruits and lemons, with a hint of biscuit.

On the palette, its tense, racy and high pitched. Grapefruit is dominant, with maybe a hint of toasted bread. If you like your chards on the zesty side sans butter, this may be the one for you. This wine glides down, and represents an excellent sipper for the summer.

Again, I have tasted several Fantesca wines from various vintages, all excite the palette, without leaving you with a nosebleed at the checkout!

August 21, 2010 - Last of th 06 but it left an impression. Served with rave reviews with lump crab coctail. Has a bit of citrus which makes for wonderful food pairing. Clean finish.

May 2, 2010 - A great bottle of Chard, and you seldom hear us say that. Just the right balance of minerality, citrus, and a awesome mouthfeel, without being too much of anyone.

May 24, 2008 - LWTF - Napa Tasting (London): (Brief notes & thoughts from Walkaround Tasting): This has more restraint on the nose yet retains that classic California exotic fruit. The palate is rich, with a layer of ripe, thicker stone fruits but it struggles to conjure up refinement, although I did pick up some minerality with some lemon and grapefruit to give freshness, which helped the wine along and the finish was long. It grew on me and so marked it up!
