November 10, 2020 - Decanted 3.5 hours. This is just singing right now with bright red fruit, velvety tannins, and earth in a full, dense, pure palate. These Schraders show remarkable terroir and purity of fruit and this is no exception.
November 2, 2020 - Very solid wine. Lacked the intensity of the CCS. Definitely more in the 93-94 range than above 95 at this time.
April 1, 2018 - Simply singing with wonderful nose and complexity on the palate. One of the best cabs I have had in a while!

October 24, 2016 - Given the intensity of flavor this wine was remarkably light on its feet. It drank well after a decant, but certainly seems to have the structure to go a while. Impressive

August 13, 2016 - This is a BIG wine! Deep dark inky black look to it. Nose full of ripe red fruits. Loads of blackberries in the mouth. Finish was very long, more than 45 seconds. This wine has lots of years ahead of it. Shameful that we opened this so soon. Still a great Schrader experience.

June 8, 2015 - The nose was large-scaled yet beautiful all the same, showing dark red fruits, currant, sweet herbs, cedar and spice box. On the palate, I found rich, velvety textures with a vein of acidity which kept it lively with flavors of black cherry, cola, cocoa and cream. It finished shorter than expected with a note of heat leaving an impression of cherry liquor with sweet herbs.
June 5, 2015 - The Traveling Brisket and Helmet Show: a bit 2006 cab is probably not smart thing to open, but we "Pobegaed" it :) This is BIG. cassis, jam, ripe powerful fruit. Day 3: (honestly needed day 3 here.) Clean, though ripe, cassis and blackberry fruit. the alc has settled (on night one i breathed into the glass and almost burned my eyes out). Mid is big, ripe and nowhere near ready. rather disjointed part now - oak and fruit and acids - all there but nowhere close to coming together. heat on the finish with a good tannic grip. no clue what to score this since i cannot foretell its future. It is much more drinkable on day 3 - but i think i may pop the rest in the fridge and return in a few more days. BTW i must add a note on the bottle. This bottle is as large and many a magnum and weighs more empty than 3 other bottles. this is simply ridiculous and shameful. sorry but i honestly do not get the trend.
May 6, 2015 - My 3rd WOTN tasted blind. I thought it was a Colgin, it had been opened for about 6 hours before drinking. Pure cases, great extraction and length. This was still way too young even with the longer decant time. The tannins were in the way a little to let it truly shine. Still an excellent wine and I wish I had more!
