April 21, 2022 - Bought and cellared since release. Shows it’s 35+ years of age with a golden hue. Bruised apple, honey and plenty of toasted nuts. A vibrancy still remains, but this is more interesting than delicious at this stage.

And the cork disintegrated during the extraction process. But there was so much here- intense concentration, dried apricot, sweet and savory spice, earth and mushroom, honeycomb, and more. Better when served colder than cellar temp, with the cold bringing out a little more freshness.

July 11, 2015 - Farve-a-thon 4.0. Saturday lunch and evening. Partial list.: A touch corked, but on opening it was so slight (for those of us without major TCA sensors) that the gorgeous wine showed through. Really spectacular underlying wine, would love to try this again.
