August 14, 2021 - 1hr+ decant. Lovely red and purple color. Complex wine. Dark fruit, brown sugar, vanilla, oak, and tar. Not overpowering but very refined with a phenomenal texture. I really enjoyed this!

July 25, 2020 - Past its prime, but still delicious on its own. Incredible body and finish. Very subdued fruit. Rounded tannins. Consumed with Fiscalini Cheddar, and the wine simply did not have the oomph to keep up with the cheese.

November 16, 2019 - Wow, power and black fruit, ripe but nuanced between the red and black fruit. High toned blackberries, raspberries and hint of sweeter notes. The palate is all savory and power. Herbs, dark berry, rich cherry notes. Serious wine - quite balanced for all its power and fruit. Not a hint of alc ( for a wine with 15.9!!) - simply awesome.

August 23, 2019 - Perfect spot. Popped, poured a glass , slightly tight, not musty. Started drinking the rest an hour later and it is in the perfect place. Syrah esrthiness is fading and if you want that component, this may not be for you. However if you want a smooth drinking integrated wine that holds up to food like grilled meat this will serve you well this fall/winter

February 18, 2019 - Big and smooth. Not many wines this big that I feel like I can sip without food, but this one managed it. Also did well with bolognese sauce.

July 23, 2017 - One hour decant. Paired with lamb roasted in the Big Green Egg. Pure and smooth with no rocky edges. Funk on the nose at decant but it blew off and the nose morphs into violet flowers. If I wanted to be overly critical, I would say that the wine is a bit monolithic. If I wanted to be truthful, I would say purity of fruit. The fruit is predominantly berries - raspberries and blackberries - with a bit of cherry and blueberry I do not get syrah pepper, which I like, but that could simply be a function of age. Unfortunately, this is my last bottle, but I would like to taste this again in 5-7 years to see what it develops with some more age, because this is still a baby with primary flavors and no components of age..

May 12, 2017 - This bottle fell a little flat compared to the previous. Lacking the rich black fruit and robust body. Might have been a leaky cork. Still quite good for an 11 year old wine. Drink now.
