  September 15, 2011 - Italian Wine Tasting @ Binny's (Lake Zurich Binny's): A lovely Amarone, not as complex as others I've had but very enjoyable to drink now. Dark ruby in color. Nice licorice and plum notes on the nose. Nice smooth tannins revealing licorice, cherries, plums and a nice leather/eathyness notes.

  June 22, 2011 - I really liked this wine and it certainly paired well with the pasta recipe from "The School of Essential Ingredients). Soft at the beginning, it opened nicely with some serious complexity. Lots of fruit and enough mineral to establish itself. Fine finish. Well prioced at a little under $20.

  May 16, 2011 - My first Amarone and certainly won't be my last. Full bodied with, dark, sweet stewed fruit, licorice, tobacco notes and firm chewy tannins. Quite a nice bottle of wine.

  October 30, 2010 - Kleur sterk donkerrood tegen zwart aan.
  Stevige neus met zwart fruit, vleeskersen, rozijnen, tonen van gesausde tabak (zware shag) en gedroogde vruchten.
  Volle geconcentreerde licht zoete volfruitige smaak met een perfecte balans tussen goed geintegreerde taninnes en een mondvullende sappigheid. Lange nasmaak met veels gedroogd fruit en tabak. Lekkerste amarone tot nu toe.
