December 21, 2017 - Spain makes some really interesting wines, and when aged can bring great things to the table. Here dried plum and black cherry mix with hints of cedar and bitter dark chocolate on the finish.

March 26, 2013 - Previous bottles better. Losing fruit. Drink up before it is gone.

February 24, 2013 - Not nearly as good as the last bottle, the fruit was more or less absent, leaving an astringency that was somewhat off-putting. The acidity on the backend seemed out of balance. Good, but not much more.

February 1, 2013 - I have been sitting on these for a while, and I finally decided to twist a cap. Really nice fruit with an abundance of verve. I see this as a near perfect split between new and old world. The only problem? It is a bit schizophrenic, trying to decide what it wants to be. Very Good.

November 23, 2011 - Delightful fruity red blend with cherry notes. Perfect acidity to balance.

February 3, 2011 - Aromas of dried red berries, cedar, and cinnamon. Spiced dark berry flavors on the palate with a strong sense of minerality. Juicy acidity on the finish. Does not have that "wow" factor but is a good wine. ($9)

March 11, 2010 - This wine has a pretty earthy, cherry, and smokey nose with some band-aid roasted tomatoes. The taste is pretty dry with a significant amount of cherry, smoke, and tannins. The finish is pretty fruity, but has a dusty tannic/vanilla overtone. This wine isn't bad, and complements food pretty well (ate it with chicken parmesan). I guess you could say it's a "pretty" wine. Worth the $10 I spent on it...but wouldn't be worth $20.

February 28, 2010 - Popped & poured. Dark fruit, a bit of oak and heat upon opening. Dry tannic finish. Very good food wine, had with homemade chili. Good QPR @ <$18. Don't understand the low 80 rating, unless it was a bad bottle. I would definitely buy again.

January 7, 2010 - Nothing special - seemed thin and yet overly tannic. Didn't smooth out even after allowing to open up overnight.

May 4, 2009 - Dry, earth, some oak, dark fruit, astringent finish. A little heat. Very good food wine, and a decent value here in PA. We enjoyed with pasta and red sauce. Screw top, good everyday vino.
