April 14, 2023 - An embarrassment of riches (Noizé and 67PM): Light greenish pale straw. Wow. Proper Chablis. Grip, minerality, tension. Saline bite. Gorgeous. *****

April 12, 2022 - Pale yellow in the glass, not showing any tiredness at 15 yrs old. Aromas are fantastic- a mixture of the cold ocean on a hot summers day, saline, seashells, a bit of Kombu, mixed with preserved lemons, citrus pith, and green apple Laffy Taffy.

High on acid in the mouth. Age has not diminished its focus at all. Like the nose, there are flavors of the sea as well as tart green apples and lemons. Finish is moderate and emphasizes the lemon flavors. The briny saline characteristics come to the forefront as the wine takes on more air.

It feels like this wine is drinking in a perfect place. Feel free to pop the cork, but it's not going anywhere anytime soon. The structure of this is clearly built for the long haul. This will last easily to age 20, likely longer before taking a dive. Great stuff!

September 15, 2021 - From the first vintage under Diam (for the 1ers), I believe.
Upon pouring this was fresh as a daisy, not at all seeming like a 14 year old Chablis.

It really took a couple days to open up. Hopefully this means it's got a ways to go!

Once it unfurled, it revealed itself as sharp and well integrated. But not a powerhouse by any means. Wonderful mix of lemon, wax, saline, flint and wet stone. Good acid, and a finish that lingers and lingers.

Very strong showing. Make sure you give it time.

April 11, 2020 - This is for Chablis purists, backbone of flint. Steely acidity, so crisp it will cut through all most anything. Loads of fruit to keep up and fully mature. Bought at Le Fevre around 2009/2010 and first of the case. No rush to drink this but suspect the next 5 will be gone by the end of summer! Crying out for shellfish but worked well on its own (hot day). Enjoy
