November 4, 2023 - (Decanted for one hour)
Deep red colour with a mature nose showing dried herbs, leather and some charcuterie with some youthful violet notes still hiding underneath in a very delicious way. Smoothing tannins on the palate with a fruity blackberry sweetness still showing at first, and with an austere finish showing dried fruits and a dark chocolate bittersweet note as well. This was working very well with corn-fed fillet of chicken

July 17, 2019 - (Decanted for two hours)
Very lovely nose showing moulded leaves, soil and cedar in a very pleasant and maturing way. Opens up with mint and mocha as well.. Palate feels much younger with austere tannins and some herbal notes on the balanced finish.

Deep red colour with a brick red hue. Start off with a lovely maturing nose showing sweet blackberries, leather and barn before opening up in the glass with hip roses, fennel and notes of mocha. Mature palate showing dried fruit and leather before a lengthy and warm finish.

March 17, 2017 - Deep ruby red colour with a beautiful mature nose showing warmth and dried herbs, dry soil and bay leafs. Perfect smoothness on the palate as well showing lots of maturity. Still not over the hill but rather showing freshness with fruit and minerals in a lovely combination together with a hint of leather and mint in the long intense finish. This was drinking very nicely right now with a two hour decant beforehand. Best 2014-2024.

April 29, 2014 - Red berries and plums, light undergrowth, rusty iron, sweet spice and a hint of vanilla fudge. Very accessible on the palate, with moderately concentrated but still juicy red fruit, marked yet quite elegant tannins and spicy oak on the finish. Not that green this time (we skipped decanting and poured it right away). Better drink up now. Our last bottle, it had kept well in our cool cellar.

April 21, 2011 - Really nice bright and juicy red currant merlot with tobacco notes and a greenish, grassy, unripe cab franc component. Once recognised this gets slightly disturbing with air. Very drinkable, best immediately after decanting.
